Ossa de Montiel

A good part of the lagoons compound belongs to the municipality of Ossa de Montiel in the province of Albacete. That is the reason why tourism is a main element of its life.

We enter the Nature Reserve via the Valle de San Pedro, some eight kilometres away from the main part of the town. Nearby we can visit Cervantes cave of Montesinos, also the ruins of Castillo de Rochafrida and the Ermita de San Pedro. If we continue way down the valley, in the shoreline of Laguna de San Pedro we will find the hotel Albamajón, a charming and peaceful place where good taste prevails.

Recently the Municipal Government inaugurated the successful Ethnographic Museum where different historical crafts and traditions of the district are displayed.
