Welcome to Lagunas de Ruidera, we put forward a visual and initial guide where you will discover this marvellous nature spot.

We are now in Campo de Montiel between the provinces of Albacete and Ciudad Real in Castilla-La Mancha where the waters of the High Guadiana River form a natural dam shaping a set of lagoons of high ecological and landscaping value, aspects taken into consideration in 1979 when it was granted the condition of Nature Reserve with 3772 protected hectares.

Its fifteen lagoons linked one to the other by spectacular travertins, form an ecosystem of tremendous interest for those who love nature.

Acquainted with their exceptional characteristics, aiming to display their values and convinced that a greater awareness will help to increase the respect we feel towards the lagoons, we wish you to enjoy them.
